Things you find in the yard...

So my brothers lives outside Hillsboro, Mo on about 7-8 acres of land.
Nice place, almost no noise, no traffic, no Boom-Boom music crap, PLUS you can walk right out his front door & shoot a gun if you like
Well this past summer he was cleaning up some of the junk that was left behind from previous owners out in the woods when he came upon this.

He call the sheriff & 3 patrolmen showed up rather quickly for some odd reason.
Luckily one of the three had an idea what it was & knew it wasn't armed.
Everyone including the police wonder how in the hell it ended up on his property..........joe

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Some kind of artillery shell, that's all my brother got out of the cop.
Cop said it may have been a practice shell since the detonation device was gone as well as the head(shell).
All I know is that it scared the hell out of my brother...joe

Now you got me all excited, Dave, that is a nice Jake and would taste real good done up beer-butt style for T-day. I can't wait until Spring Gobbler Season gets here.

Sticker Burrs are all that's turning up in my yard lately - - along with the many "diller holes" - - - he may not be long for this world if he don't move on.

I'm only a few miles from there, Joe. Let me know next time you're in the neighborhood.

Yep, I'm going to miss the fall turkey season here, but will be trying to get a bird in the freezer come spring!
