Hoss I got sick to my stomach when I started to read the thread. I asked to be removed from the forum. Not my cup of tea.

I realize we are all adults here, and maybe I'm just getting old, but I find the way some four letter words flow so freely in society today odd. I was taught to always defend a ladies honor when someone would use foul language around them, but I've given up on that because half the time it is a female using the F bomb. In the past I would have told the guy there is a lady present and please watch your langauge, but I have even heard girls that look to be no older than 14 spewing the F word as if they were saying hello. I lose a whole lot of respect for a female when she choses to talk like a Sailor.

Class is something I can't define, but I know it when I see (or hear) it.

if my car was stolen and/or one of my friends im pretty sure i would be very PO'D and would sware. but thats just me. never seen where it hurt anybody.

i was always raised to not sware like any rational family would but its the hanging out in garages and whatnot since being a kid it rubbed off somewhat, but i am not excessive and do know when to keep it out of the convo. was also raised that if you dont like it take yourself away from the situation which i do and i know some on here have also.

im just tired thought id share

You know what surprises me is the fact just about everyone is complaining more about the language on HAMB, when the object of this post was the car that was stolen not the language of the website.
Had I noticed the extra link in the original post on HAMB I would have just posted it and we all would have complained about another car being stolen.

How many of us can honestly say we haven't muttered some of those same words before in the past???
    I know I have..............joe

Oh and I changed the link to the one above some no one is insulted by the language.
Like I said this post was about the car.........

NTFDAY this is no way aimed at you, but since your reply is a good example of what some may have been thinking I have to use it.

It's no worse then saying it in public or even among friends or family then.

Because the way I look at it this way, on a "public forum" normally the members are like friends and/or family and how do we talk around Friends and/or family???? Sometimes it's Colorful Language...
And as long as the owner of the website doesn't mind the language then that is all that matters.

Think about it, the last time a friend/family member told you something something was stolen or they had been in a wreck, I would bet most of you thought or even spoke some of those words.

As I said before I posted this to help the owner out and it suddenly became all about the language. Aren't we all in this hobby for one thing, the "Cars/Trucks" and everything else that goes w/it and I'm sure that for the most part (at least from the HAMB members I have met, nice bunch of folks too) they all don't stand around and spit out curse words all day long. Hell I'm sure there are more HAMB members here on CHR then some may think and I haven't seen a problem w/a foul mouth from any of us that are here or on any of the several other websites that don't allow colorful language on their site that we might be on.

We all know where & when we can let the sailor talk in us out, HAMB just happen to be one of those sites. I'll be the first to say you need to have thick skin there at times & look past some of the language. Because as some of us know there is some top notch tech tips & rides that come out of that site just like this one and many others, many of which we have all used in some way, shape or form..joe

Well, I didn't see the offensive post but the offensive story of this family's loss of a special project. The father is nearing the end of his journey and must endure the heartbreak of losing this car that has brought his family together in these last days. I hope they recover the car and finish it in time... The thieves can hang as suggested but that may be to easy for them. I just lost my father so this is particularly poignant for me... Best of luck to this family and I hope the father finds a way to go 200mph regardless

    -Chris
