So you think painting your hot rod is hard?
I just saw this video clip from Virgin Atlantic Airlines. Painting a 747 in 13 days. It's a time lapse video worth the watch. One of these days I'll figure out how to embed a video on here!

Several years ago--I worked as a ground equipment mech for United Airlines---I eventually transferred into the paint shop because they had week ends off and I could go drag racing easier----we never painted any complete airplanes at O'Hare, but did do some a/c components----It does take a lot of masking tape----
Later I flew for them and of all the planes I flew( no DC8 , Caravelle, or B747) but I liked the 767 very much and the B777 the most---of course it was also the newest, I was one of the first 100 people to get a type rating on it, and probably one of the first 10 or so to retire off it as I had a temporary medical problem and I would of been too old (60) by the time I could get cleared by the feds---a doctor gave me some of those Plaxo? pills, andit is a long process to go thru to get cleared----Took me about 10 years
There's a photo of 777 in my gallery but I don't know how to attach to post---also a photo of the 767 that on 9-11 hit the tower----Last edited by jerry clayton; 12-18-2010 at 07:39 AM.

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
