Whatever program you use to view your pictures usually has an editor to change picture size. The one I use has a stretch/skew option under the change tab.
How many lumps ya want with that?

If you're using a Microsoft op system you've already got "paint" in the accesories, it edits size fast and easy.

When I'm in the view mode if I right click and select "Edit" it brings up the selected image in Paint. Like Bob says, it edits size fast and easy by percentage or dimension.

If we go to a show/run,and take a pile of pix,we usually put them on photo bucket, then post them from there..

I store a copy of my photos in Photobucket. You don't have to resize to put on here, but for some reason this site wont always give you the picture, only the web address link which you have to click to view. One thing about Photobucket - if you move, change or delete that picture, it deletes from which ever site you have linked it. This is one that is probably 2200x1600 which would more then fill the screen any other way:

(From the Petersen Museum in LA - photo not color corrected for the interior lights)

Another way, but will cost you a few bucks is Photoshop Elements which has about 90+ percent of the pro version. You can fix pictures that would be useless otherwise. There are some freebies as well on-line that can do some limited 'fixing' too

I am using a MacBook Pro. I have found an option of 1024x768. Would that work for this forum?

    Not a good idea.
Take pics w/ camera set at highest rez & save originals to your computer or HD (I use an external 2 TB HD). Then make a copy & resize the image to 800x600. Lots of free programs to resize images.

I'll take a look the next time it does that here - it is inconsistent so I haven't worried to much as you can always click on the link and the photo comes up.

    Thanks for the tip
