SOCAL & WSW Weather
Been hearing lots of news of mud & flooding in much of SOCAL, into Arizona and Nevada, and hoping that members in those areas are making it OK and are able to enjoy Christmas in their homes.Roger

We usually have a bunch of snow by now, but my front lawn - still green with only 2 -3 dustings so far!! Syracuse 140 miles West has about 7 FEET of snow on the ground.
My area - it WILL suffer before winter is done thoughDave W

Heck People how sad to have that happen on any time of year let alone Christmas. My prayers will go out to those who have been caught out with that weather.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Its not been bad in Norcal yet, but if continues it will be, they have 18 ft in the mountains now, its still early in the year, they`ve already opened up a lot of the gates on the reservoirs in anticipation of the rain before it even started.Toys

Well my area just had another ho-hum snow 'event'. The Weather Channel and the locals all predicted a huge dump here. Well we didn't get it. Maybe 6" which in past years would have been a snow squall. Some areas South of here did get a bunch, but the only bad part of ours is the wind. After I finally got the tractor going (summer blend diesel fuel) it took about 20 minutes to do the drive.
Oh well - off to 'fuss' with a couple of things on my carDave W

Not sure how bad Dave caught it, but, over my way (So.eastern Mass) we caught it pretty good. It snowed, then rained, now frozen! 15 degrees right now. If you didn't clear the mess yesterday, then it's just a block of ice now! We only had 6 or 8 inches but the town just north of us got 18 inches!
I'm glad I cleaned off the daily driver as there's no way you'd be opening those doors today! My 1970 Cub Cadet w\plow dug me out once again! My wife freaks out if I pick up a snow shovel since the heart attack 2 years ago....Last edited by 34_40; 12-28-2010 at 05:23 AM. Reason: more info

Everything that was really bad from this storm hit South and East of my part of Upstate NY. My daughter and her family are headed back to New Jersey where they have a couple of feet in their driveway - which is the same thing that happened to them last year. The local shopping centers do have some pretty big piles of snow, but nothing worse then normal for the end of Dec. Then there was that storm a couple years ago - we had over 3 feet, and that one actually slowed my tractor to a slow snails pace. The fun thing with lots of snow - it gives me a chance to play with my DD, an F350 4x4Dave W
