It's a lense for an early sealed beam. 1939 to about 1948. Originally it was crimped into a steel back shell to make a sealed beam assembly, and was not serviced seperately. Over the years, the steel shell rusts away, leaving just the lens. The manufacturer in this case was BLC, but Guide and TungSol both made similar lights.Anyone can restore an old car, it takes a man to cut one up
