Aussie Floods..
I hope all our resident Aussies are clear of this mess..My own brother in law is close to Brisbane, and up till a few days ago,unaffected..Like wise,my brother is a lot further north,so should be ok too..
Just hope there are no more tragic drownings like has happened in Toowoomba..This lot of floods is shocking..

That sure is a lot of water. Hope it stops soon. It seems like we're getting weather extremes everywhere these days. Not sure if it's a news media thing, or that we are experiencing more natural tradgeties. Hope all of your family remains safe." "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

One of the main rivers through Brisbane is running up to 22 METRES higher..10 dead,68 confirmed missing..and it aint over yet..My brother in law and his family live on the edge of a range of hills,,they are safe, but nearly totally cut off,,havent heard from my bro..but he is further north, and only has swollen rivers around him..Bro in law bought the property because of its height..God help Aussie if he gets flooded..Its just so scary, watching those cars getting washed away, and the water rising so quick..Micah 6:8

I watched the noon news on the tube and they had some video of one of the flooded areas - and were calling it a mini tsunami. WOW was that water moving. It had picked up a car and was throwing it every direction. Nineteen reported dead so far with more rain forecast. I don't worry about a bit of snow and some cold when I see those videos.Dave W

They say now that there are more than 90 missing 10 confirmed dead and that 75% of Queensland is flood affected that's an area bigger than Texas and New Mexico. I'm about 10 miles away from the floods. We should stay dry because we are up on a hill. Just hope that all the missing people are found alive and well.

Manky, there cant be too many people who live above the affected areas..My bro in law is in Jimboomba, and he is on the side of the ranges[if that makes sense to you] staying at home for a few days, cos no one has taught the Aussie Post trucks to swim...Another Kiwi in Logan, says he is fairly safe. We all hope this is going to go down soon, the situation is quite horrific..Keep safe mate..Micah 6:8

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
