Don & Mike, See What You're Missing Today?

See what you guys in Florida and the other deep south states are missing today?? Got about 6" of dry, fluffy, almost powder today. This pic was earlier, when we only had about three inches. Pretty, but I like the mid-50's we've been having....

Roger, believe it or not, I do miss playing in the snow ever once in a while. If it's any consolation, we had thunderstorms, high winds, heavy rain and cool temps all day. I received calls from my brother, daughter and sister this morning, they all had to give me the 'snow report' from the Chattanooga,Tn area, they sent emails with pics which I just finishing checking out. My brother got 8" in Chickamauga, Ga, the daughter's house, which is a little north of Chatt, got 10". The good news is, it will be warm and sunny here in a few more days, they don't call it the 'Sunshine State' for nothing.

Yep, and there's nothing between you and me but a barbed wire fence, and it's down so we'll get that wind, too. The 6"-8" will blow off to nothing on the high spots, and stack up three feet deep across the roads

I was watching TV the other day and saw the weather you guys are getting up there. Just watching it brought back such bad memories of that stuff......snow tires, chains, slush, overshoes, ice scrapers, lock deicer, gas antifreeze, falling down on the ice, etc, etc. I remember every year it was the ritual to make sure you had survival gear in the trunk in case you got stuck or stranded somewhere. Oh yeah, that white stuff sure is pretty to look at!

Hang in there guys, Spring is only another 4 months away.

I miss the snow about like I'd miss a boil on my backside!!

If ya love it, lucky you. Me, I'll stick with the sunshine!!

Haven't lifted a snow shovel in seven years, not sure I'd recognize one if I saw it.

Here in the KC area ours has been very mild to date - several days in Dec/Jan up into the 50's, great jacket weather after it's been down around zero. We've only had a dusting of snow a couple of times before getting this storm. Like Dave S said, it is pretty dry here at this point.

Dave (IC2) your back yard looks just about like mine today. We've got a strong 6" everywhere, and it's 7F as the sun is starting to warm things.

Here as far as cold, not bad. Snow - less then normal. What you see is about all we have had except for a couple of 1-2 inch dustings. All that moisture that would cause snow here appears to be rain in Australia.
