I feel for you - - - my Yahoo email has needed a straight jacket for about 6 months and, if I keep on waiting to change email providers, I may be history soon.

Rich - while you wont often have as many system hacks with a MAC, it sounds like you do need a good hard drive house cleaning - dump the cache, history and cookies. Somewhere you have a trojan horse and/or some spyware that's allowing the MS garbage. There are a lot of pretty good freebies - I use AVAST and Advanced System Care - but not all are compatible with MAC. Go to CNET or PC World and see what they recommend for that system. I've had a minor glitch or severalsince Xmas when a couple of my GC messed my PC up - (and they did their mother's new business Blackberry as well)

Hi Rich,
I too run a mac and like Dave says we are not often targeted by the bad stuff. I haven't experienced anything like you described but every now and then my computer starts acting up, runs slow or freezes up and when it does I do some of what Dave recommends. I emply the cache and dump the cookies. I think I will also look for some freeware to check the hard drive.
