    I think it's happening everwhere right now.
    There is a strip mall around the corner from us and someone went and ripped all the air conditioners out, probably around 10 of them. Then we had guys going down the road stealing all the man hole covers and selling them for thier weight. Thank god they caught them idiots before someone got killed.

    Several years ago at an apartment complex where we lived, a bar owner came home at about 3 am one morning after closing his bar for the night. He had the days receipts on him. He heard footsteps coming up fast behind him so he got into his apartment, went to a back bedroom and got his AR15. Two guys kicked down his door and came in with automatic pistols. The bar owner shot both of them, one died right there on the spot and the other made it down the steps and died in the front seat of his car.

    I'm not heartless, but I think when a person enters your home with a gun they give up all their rights and whatever happens is deserved. The sad part is that the bar owner was forced to move out because the apartment owners felt he may be the target of retaliation from friends or relatives of the dead thieves and they couldn't put the other residents at risk.

    Hey Don;
    I guess you could say they were both protecting thier businesses.
    Well one good thing is I bet those two don't try that again.
    All the criminals should be so lucky to catch them bullets like
    a pro baseball player. If it happened more often there would
    be alot less crime!!!

    I think you are right Mello.
    They have already alerted the scrap dealers around here.
    Thats how they caught the two steeling the man hole covers.
    I think the scrap dealers are becoming the police in some case's.
    They know who is in business and who is not for the most part
    so that does help some.
