At Holloween we used to draw a chalk out on the side walk in front of the door.
That always got people to thinking too. HE! HE! HE! That with some spent brass,a big dog food bowl and some 16 size boots should do it.

Just today, thre was a news report that three individuals forced their way into a local residence. There were gunshots....and it turns out that one of the intruders was killed. The woman that shot him was also wounded by gunfire, but one of the intruders got the worst end of the deal. Turns out the dead SOB had a long history of crime. The other two intruders took off running. What's scary to me is that this stuff is happening more frequently. The town I currently live in used to be kind of a friendly place where violent crime was rare. Now it seems the druggies and illegals have moved in, and this stuff is becoming commonplace. I'm planning to purchase a handgun to protect my family and myself, and I will not hesitate to use it if we are threatened.
