I was very disappointed with the "two car pairings" racing in the shootout. That isn't what I consider as racing. If that is what NASCAR is selling to the viewer for their Super Bowl of racing, they are in trouble in my opinion. This style of racing will take out the majority of the field with major wrecks, beyond what the restrictor plates cause. Not what I want to see. Hopefully the fuel injection will give NASCAR better ways to control speeds and still give drivers a more responsive engine to race with. What wide open throttle racing where drivers can't even lift for fear of losing six car lengths if they do and risk wrecking everyone behind them creates is bad enough. Now add another cars front bumper stuck to their rear bumper all the way around the race track lap after lap. I just can't see that as racing! Those teams best be ready to load up some scrap metal. We'll see come Sunday.
