Hate to see him go out of business, but it doesn't really surprise me either. I don't think he ever qualified for any NHRA Pro Stock race and that doesn't go well if you're competing with Holley. And from what I've read a lot of his carbs were pure junk.Ken Thomas

Likewise, I hate to see this, but then it underscores how difficult it is to remain successful in business..............proves the old addage, "If it were easy everyone would be doing it." I've only ever owned one Demon carb and it worked fine for me. I do know he came out with a number of new products in the past few years, the tooling costs must have bled capital like crazy. That and a stressed marketplace would at least be bad timing if not a bad business decision based on the niche market those products targeted. As our hobby continues to be under pressure from tree huggers, bureaucrats, oppressive gov't agencies, and the ageing of the devotees we'll probably need to get used to this. As we talked last week, businesses in this country are under tremendous pressure from a customer base that is more interested in low prices than paying for the long list of costs of employment impossed on the businesses of this country.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

I've alway had good luck with the holley's and not BG either.
I had a 780 holley I ran for years and loved it, though I did blow out a power valve or two but that was my falt messin with the timming or something.
I've never run one of the Demons but I am curios to hear some feed back on those.

Isn't BG the company that would not sell replacement parts? To get something repaired you had to send it to them for rebuilding? Or am I thinking of some other company?"PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.

I really never cared for the six pack setup they sold. The carbs had a strange shape to them and just didn't seem right somehow. They had a booth at Turkey Run some years and I've looked over their stuff, but was just never motivated to buy anything from them.
Sorry to see a company fold though.

I wanted to try one "just because".. I bought a 525 road demon and haven't had any problems at all with it. Ran great straight out of the box. Car starts in what feels like a half rotation of the motor and I can't find anything to complain about! Sorry to see them go!
Eventually I hope to install the Shelby Ram Box and use 2 of those FAST F.I. systems (or equivalent) ....

Yeah, hate to see another us company fold. It's surprising to me that more in the aftermarket auto industry have not gone under. The way things are today. I thought it was BG that used to rework carbs for circle track. They were supposed to be the hot ticket. I bought one second hand, not sure who reworked it, but it was a killer carb. But since I'm bad with names I am probably wrong. Still hate to see anyone fold...

i think at first his carbs were so/so some bolted them on thinking it going to help alot or many may of tune them were just be way off on jet.metter plates .or CFM over the years after the holley deal he rework the carbs more not to use much of holleys parts . i re built some of them .never seen any thing that was that work much better then a good box stock holley would do . for most guys . i could say things about the holleys as they were pushing out junk . i have a holley HP 9377$$$ that some one beat the main body.. dents all over it called told them .they said thats was why they made gaskets.Irish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip

Like others have said - some were good, others were bad. A couple of friends have them - and it seems that there is always something wrong. Of course, with that said, I hate to see another American company die.Dave W

There are so many good carb companies out there now if you are not customer friendly,
you are gonna go under. But I also hate to see another US. company go under.
