The other side of humanity[if thats what it is]has reared its ugly head..The media had pix of a young teen brother and sister waiting for news of their mother,,probably not good..and their names were mentioned..Today,it was revealed by their uncle, that some dirty stinkin lowlife dog vomit charactors, who may have known them, burgled their house..Now,we are talking solo mum here,,probably now deceased, low income, and two teenagers
Damn oxygen thieves..As one of my friends said,,nothin a lead implant to the brain wouldnt cure..
And,yes,I am sorry for venting,I shouldnt come out with this stuff,but.....Last edited by lamin8r; 02-23-2011 at 10:52 PM.

That's not the only case Robin.
Police have placed a curfew on the place after arresting six of these low-lifes for looting in the damaged areas.
There's injured and dead lying in these buildings and these pond-scum are stealing from them.
They totally disgust me.
Shooting's too good for them.johnboy

This is the latest info we have here:
"CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand – Hopes faded of finding more survivors Thursday in the collapsed downtown towers of New Zealand's quake-shattered Christchurch, as officials said the death toll rose to 98 with grave fears for many of the 226 missing.
Police said up to 120 bodies may still lie trapped in the tangled concrete and steel that was the Canterbury Television or CTV building, where dozens of students from Japan, Thailand, China and other Asian countries were believed buried when an English-language school collapsed along with other offices.

Our Weather Channel is doing a pretty good job of on-site reporting too. It really is ugly. I just hope things don't get any worseDave W

No survivors have been found for two days now.
Outlook seems very bleak for the 200+ still missing.
The central city is totally trashed as is a number of outlying suburbs.
Around 500,000 live in the area.
Many are moving out for good now, after going through this 5 months ago.
Something like 7000 after shocks since the first biggie in early September.
My heart goes out to every one of them.
I am not normally an emotional person, but this has got to me.

We had a small win today.
Some miserable pricks pinched three $6000 emergency generators that the Teleco had brought in to help prop up the cell network.
They got caught & our usually generous judges, decided to decline bail & put their next hearing at 28 March.
Gotta love a judge like that

I'm very concerned because we haven't heard any updates from Whiplash since his initial post on the 22nd, regarding his ex wife missing in that mess. I imagine he is busy right now and hope they have a good outcome.

Not for me to say too much, but in the e mail we got from Whip, its unfotunately not good news...Still no word of confirmation,as there are still 223 missing,113 confirmed dead,600 rescue staff, only 70 so far pulled out alive..One lucky,[yes,I think so] guy had his leg amputated by an Aussie[I believe]urologist, with a hacksaw, and knife,as he was pinned down by a huge concrete beam..He has survived the ordeal..What made it worse, was the fact they were working in a very confined space..Micah 6:8

Roger, these people are pond scum...in fact when the judge denied bail, they got a bit nasty and gave the judge the finger..They are remanded until March 28..And yes,by all means..show the world what they look like..
But with this namby pamby system of privacy act, dont hold ya breath..Micah 6:8

My brother in Christchurch has contacted my sister in Wellington, who in turn contacted me.
He and his missus are both okay, and have sustained minimal damage.
New Zealand is such a small country with a relatively small population, (around 4.6 million,) and there are relatively few 'degrees of seperation'; everybody has friends and/or relatives that are directly involved or have been affected in such an incident.
Robin, anyone who would loot/steal during a tragedy like this should be nutted.
At the very least it would stop them breeding.johnboy

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
