    Perigee Moon Saturday

For you stargazers, check out the larger than normal full moon Saturday night when the moon is at perigee (closest to earth in its orbit).

Thanks Roger, always nice to see this sort of thing.

Despite what this article says, some are concerned that the instability of the Pacific Plate demonstrated by the recent string of quakes around the Ring of Fire will be influenced by the same gravitational effects that affect the tides. We'll see..........

Speaking of full moons (not that kind) - a friend of mine sent me an email that stated the "only" time in History for a month not to have a full moon was February 1865. Don't know if that info is worth anything but there it is anyhow.

I've been noticing that my "pelt" is getting thicker, lately, too. Maybe it IS the moon.

Thats OK, we've got 100% cloud cover here so there's not going to be much view of the big moon tonight, the way it looks now.
