New kinda hotrod - flying car
A friend sent me this link of a flying car a guy developed for medical use in remote areas. It goes 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds, and gets 25-30 mpg. Will fly at 40 mph. Pretty cool, if you watch video to the end he's bouncing around on sand dunes.

That looks almost practical, but I wonder what the price is. The 3.9 sec. 0-60 time seems unbelievable considering the small engine although I imagine it must be very light.Remember, Freedom isn't Free, thousands have paid the price so you can enjoy what you have today.

I guess Popular Mechanics was right in the 50's when they said we would all be driving flying cars in the future! Very cool video, Steve, thanks for sharing.
I saw something just as strange a few weeks ago when we were fishing off of Don's boat. I looked up and a rigid inflatable boat was soaring overhead maybe 100 feet or so up! I yelled for Don and Taylor to look up and they couldn't believe it either. Evidently, someone is making an ultralight that fastens to an inflatable boat, it had the usual outboard engine but also a second engine at the back with a prop on it. He came down like he was going to land on the water, but took back up and flew out over Cape Coral.
I told Dan about it later and he looked at me like I was nuts (he does that a lot) so the next time the 3 of us were together I had Don tell him he saw it too.

The guy in this video mentioned pontoons for water use too. Seems very versatile. I bet see the infatable boat that high was quite the sight. I remember years ago some cubans tied up to Fat Alberts cable on a foggy night in their boat. They woke up in the air too, as the air heated Fat Albert rose again. (Fat albert is a military surveilance blimp in the Keys)" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.
Thank you Roger. .
