New Home
Well I put in a bid on a nice home in Pahrump Neveda.
Got a message on St. Patties day that they accepted my offer.
I had to act fast it was a great deal.
Plus I keep ending up in the hospital with lung infections
because of all the humidity here in Florida.
I am hopping the dry heat will stop all the infections.
If not oh well at least I'll be near where I grew up
with all of my friends. Plus my brother is out there
and a few of my friends have there own car shops and can help me out
with some progress on my cars. We get to move in on 5/18 so there is
lots of stuff to do around here till then anyway.

Sorry to be losing you as a neighbor, Kurt, but I know this is the best for you healthwise. I wish you and Denise the best.
I know what you mean about the humidity. I eat allergy pills like candy some days..........it's been really bad this past year.
Don't be a stranger.......they have internet service out there too.

Thanks Don; The best part is it's on a acre of land with empty lots on either side of me.
Then it's twice the size of my house now with a three car garage and not a tree in site.
I hate picken leave out of all my cars all the time, not to mention it helps them rust.
And by this time next year I might even have me a sand rail to ride thru the desert in.
If you have never went acrossed the desert at 90mph with 6 KC lights burning in the middle of the night, your missing out. Thats because it a total blast, Not sure my body can take it anymore but I intend to find out. Atleast if I die, I'll die with a big smile on my face. And thats what life is all about.

Heck Kurt You'll be closer to The Bonneville Salt Flats and a great place to run those hot rods! Yeah I know it's way north of you, but heck it's closer than Florida!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Lots of car guys out in Pahrump, so that should be a plus. And you'll be getting there just in time for the temps getting up to 100 and more. Don't forget the moisturizer and getting into the routine of constant water intake. We'll be down there in a couple weeks but gone by the time you get there.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Wow, FL to Nevada! That's quite a hike, but it sounds like "heading home" to a degree. Hope everything with the move goes smooth, Kurt. Lots of pretty country in between, and something to look forward to at the end of the trip! Will you be transporting cars, or driving?Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I wish Y'all the best, Kurt, allergies really suck and so does moving but sometimes relocating can be just the ticket. I'll bet those pups will really like the dry arid country. However, they too may need some moisturizer as Bob mentioned.
Good Luck.

Yep may need some moisturizer, for sure.
I don't have alergis though mellow, when I get a lung infection I start coughing up blood and and it fells like someone has a knife cutting out my insides. We will be driveing three and towing two. Then we will be driving a big truck with another trailer on that. So it will take me two trips for everything. And thats only if I get my metal lathe sold if not I may have to come back and get that and trailer it out there. The wife and I used to drive team over the road in big trucks and we each used to drive 1,100 hundred miles in a day, so in two days we will be there in differant cars.

Sorry Kurt, when you mentioned humidity, I was thinking mold spores, which I have dealt with on the Gulf Coast many times. What route are ya running? Once you get about half way, some of it could be Route 66 maybe?
Keep in touch and let us know if you have any trouble. Car buddies are always ready to help out, especially if you're in their area..

I'll go up 75 to 10 and run that all the way acrossed then pop up into Nevada.
Nothing to be sorry about Mello, I asked God about 10 years ago to just let me raise my kids when they told me I was gonna die. I got to raise my kids and I am happy with that.
Now what ever good happens is just a bonus, and anything else was expected.
I believe the dry weather will improve my health, and If not atleast I gave it a shot.

I know what you mean Kurt. I had a heart attack 23 years ago when I was only 42. I made my peace with God on the operating table and he has given me another 23 years that a lot of people never get..........50% of the people who have a heart attack don't survive, so I am really blessed. If I go tomorrow I can't complain.
Nevada will be a good change for you and I pray the climate stops those infections. You have a really nice wife and life, and plenty of things yet to do.

Thanks Don; Ya know we have been looking for a Home for a year and a half.
And everything we seen was all torn up pretty bad, so I ask a freind what the deal was.
Her name is Pauline Aguilera and she is a realtor, she said let me look around for you and see what I can find. With - in two weeks she found a beautiful home for us.
Now when my brother and I were small we raced motor cross for years, Well Pauline was a little girl back then too and she would help start the moto's or each race, small world.
Anyway she went to make sure everything was good in the house to day and called my wife and told her how awsome the house is. Now my wife is really getting excited about the move and I am very happy for her, Because I know she is making this move for me.
It's the old story here though, It's not what you know but who you know!!!!
