another memory jogger from Don - - - - one night my late buddy and I decided to drive out to the Gulf Oil Fields and fill my car (46 chevy 4dr buttugly sedan) with Casinghead Gas from one of the unlocked tanks. Everything went great - we thought - until after about an hour of cruising around - - - - it started running pretty bad and by the time I got home, I had burnt almost every valve in that hot water six and ended up doing a V.J. before I could drive it again. Lesson Learned the hard way but wasnt' that the way we learned most of our lessons back then?.

The pump jack motor runs on drip gas....why cant a car? That was the common thinking in those days. Of course the pump motor ran about 200 rpm (at least it sounded slow)

Haha, one time a buddy and I siphoned gas out of some road equipment and we were thrilled to see how much we scored, filling up his tank. After a little while the car stopped running and we learned that some equipment doesn't use gas, they run on DIESEL!!Had to drain his entire tank and fuel system and the car never did run right after that.
