I admit that I find so many answers just by doing a search on this site. Sometimes I see a person ask a question and I want to scream at them to just look around, that has been asked a dozen times and answered that many more times. But then I remember, would I scream at them if I was face to face and I realize we all need to chill and help when we can and move to another thread when we can't or don't want too.Last edited by Rickomatic; 05-12-2011 at 10:46 AM. Rick,
I couldn't agree more, and while the "scream approach" is warranted, it's more productive to take a breath and find a link to the previous discussion and direct them to that. I know I asked some dumb questions on here (and probably still do...), and I appreciated the direction and support that I got vs the flaming responses that people get on other forums.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Great Post!
For the most part, we're a bunch of old guys (with the lovely and talented Barb being our bright exception!) that love hot rods and most all things mechanical. I'll bet dollars-to-donuts that I'm not the only guy with Edelbrock and Hooker decals on my riding lawnmower! I really like to help where I can and I enjoy a little banter - however; I'll "go silent" when things get either personal or it becomes obvious that we have a "know-it-all" that enjoys baiting others and has no intent to listen to, much less implement, suggestions given on this forum. I trust I add value from time-to-time and I certainly have appreciated an occasional PM when I get in the weeds and need some help.
We have a fantastic core of folks who possess a lot of knowledge on everything from engines to upholstery. I certainly learn a lot just reading the posts from Tech, Pat, Jerry, Don and a whole slew of others. I enjoy the camaraderie and the humor laced in among the responses and most days make CHR my last stop before retiring.

Wow---over the years I've used a saying I picked up somewhere--"If the facts don't support your theory, get a different theory""'
And NOW--I'll be using Barb's"That you , that is soooooo sweet""""
Yep. And I seem to move 1 thing and it displaces something else with 1/2 of that landing on the workbench and then I forgot where I was going with this other thing and I'll see something else that...
