Well I wanted to see if I could find a quick fix for expler and loaded a free program called Simple Adblock, then reloaded this thread and scrolled to page 3. If you do this you will find the gumgum adds under Bills photo of the red button/light is gone. No more ads, so hopefully this will help the Internet Explorer users here on the forum. Heck what else am I going to do on a day off in the pouring rain!

Bill I saw the ads under all the photos posted on a different thread here , as well as photos linked from different sights. I don't know if using the url link brings them in, or if Brent is using the gumgum adware which attaches advertisements to any photo posted.

OK, Steve gets the Hero of the Day Award! Simple Adblock seems to have turned off the pesky ads, and now I don't have to switch to Dave's Firefox!!

No ad for me, but have installed software to block. We'll have to wait for the others who have had problem.

I also installed the software....but yesterday, I did a quick look at other sites including Club Cobra and no other site had the ads attached to pictures....probably did a sample of six sites.

I definitely see an ad with the picture. "Amazon .ca"

Interestingly, I viewed it originally on Firefox, so I reviewed it using IE. Ad showed there too.

I have found something I really dislike.

Posting "Quick Reply"!!! Leave the thread to look for or at something, i.e. at someone's profile - the reply WILL disappear. So far my score 2 for 2. Advanced Reply - don't see a problem - yet

Dave, I think Quick Reply was always like that, but we didn't use it as much (or at least I did not) because there were two seperate boxes, "Post Reply" which took us into the "Advanced" mode, and "Quick Reply". Now I simply open a new Tab if I want to look for or at something not in the thread, or even easier just switch to "Go Advanced" if you decide to look for something or add an attachment and your words are retained.

It's always been like that.....You change pages, it is either caught in your browser cache or it is not.

I guess since it wasn't the default response area, it never bothered me then. Looks like I'll need to click Advanced every time
