Well, I now know I don't know the difference between a '65 and '66 full size Pontiac, can't tell which butt is a '60 vs '61 Chrysler, and didn't know the difference between a '70 and '71 Torino grill...............................fortunately, nobody in the world cares.............Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Bob you make me laugh! Seriously it's just for fun. I generally can guess years on cars given 4 choices of which is the oldest and newest. But when it comes to knowing kaisers and hudson, etc.. that were made before I was born it gets more challenging. Mostly I think we know what we grow up with. In my case being born in the early 60's by the time I hit high school they were the cars that were cheap enough for us to buy and fix. So I'm much more familiar with them than the cars of the 50's. I just figured for car buffs out there that this would be fun. It definately exposes you to some models you may have never heard of!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

You're right Stevie, I find these things fun too. In a way it reminds me of when I lost interest/touch with certain cars. When GM went to the bulbous body on the full size cars in '65 I lost interest in that part of the line. After I went to fight the Red Menace in the jungle my interest in much of the midsize stuff waned. And Mopars of the period of '60 and '61 seemed to be lost in styling and direction.
Similarly, since I got out of the auto repair business, there's just no reason to pay much attention to much of the newer car market. There's just an awful lot of stuff out there on the road today that holds absolutely no interest to me. Pretty sad for a lifelong committed "car nut" to admit.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

A "skip" = a dumpster.... but he says it's proper english??? Oh.. Okay. Most of us can see the dating site pun, "matching" with an arsonist.. But a "SKIP? How is that a box? It must all be...
