Whatcha got planned for the weekend????

Well, it's already gonna be the 4th of July weekend--and all the good rod runs, car shows, family stuff, etc.

Curious what you guys have planned, gonna do a Hot Rod get together some place or just chill out at home and enjoy the extra day off??? I'm actually considering firing up the old '71 pick-em-up and hitting one of the local small town shows. Walt, the guy who owns the '36 Plymouth I'm building, sez we need to take a weekend off and go play!!! Might do it!!!

Dave,it sounds like you need a weekend off..DO IT...We had last weekend away, did a swap meet, picked up a real nice 29 A grille shell, had a Austin A40 front mold unloaded on me.. got two to do already.. This weekend will be dodging rain,,playing inside,,I have a room that I need to finish renovating before I get spanked..And if I get thge chance, will either spend time on mold development,or the wifes Customline..Too wet to mow the lawn[again]..

Probably be a quiet weekend. I need to finish the major cleanup on our big 5th wheel travel trailer as it only got a minor lick and promise last year. Too many trips to the roof of it with scrubbing tools in hand have about turned my knees to jell-o. No car shows nearby but a couple cruise-ins that I might take in - or maybe go to one of the three turn left tracks. We do need to put in an appearance on the 4th for the town big 'do' and my seldom seen son and family might grace us with their semi-yearly visit.

It's supposed to be hotter than the dickens here with a possibility of thunder storms. Most of the fireworks have been cancelled due to the fire danger (that might change if we get some real rain though). I'll probably just spend some time on 37.

I'll be in DC with my oldest daughter and her family. I won't have time to do everything I'd like to do but I do plan on making it to The Wall, the Marine Corps Memorial, Arlington, a couple of the museums and tours of the Capital and White House. I'm taking my laptop so I can be in touch.

Whatever it may be, it'll be indoors: house, car, shop. S'posed to get to 110+ daytimes by Monday; been in the high eighties to one at ninety overnight the past week and change so even doing anything after dark is a bit on the warm side.

Mike, if those T-storms do come 'round down there, just send them on east; they need the agua over in NM, and we don't need the humee-ditty up here.
