    tags question

while cleaning out my garage i found a pair of 1971 virginia tags. i want to put them on my car. will this be the same as antique tags with the restrictions? also do i have to get my car inspected with these tage. what do i do to get dmv to let me run these tags. i searched my dmv site and it never mentioned what the procedure was to run age specific tags. just antique blacks or yellows.

    Barb,

All you need to know is here. However, not the restrictions on driving a car with antique plates.

Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles

Note at the bottom of the page that you can use vintage plates without registering the car as an antique.

Not bad. Naples has some interesting sights, but it's really a dirty, crowded city. I'll stay my three years, but then I'm retired to Texas.
