He's doing good, he finished the first part of his jump school training & got his wings for it.
Next he's going for Army Ranger Training, yeah I know he's a Marine but his C.O. wants them to have all the training they can get, remember he is in Amphibious Reconnaissance

I asked him what will he get for doing the training other then the knowledge & he told me "A Ranger patch I can't wear", I ask WTF are you suppose to do w/it then & he said they sew it inside one of their pockets.
He told us he'll be in the field for about 70 straight days and then after that he'll do some HIGH FLYING jumping.
He would be jumping so high(15miles) that they would need oxygen to do the jump. I asked him why he had to do it & he said "Dad, I'm team captain so I had to do it." We're hoping everything goes good & that he'll be able to come home for a visit, since he has almost 50 days leave coming to him & we haven't seen him in over a year.

Sounds like the country's in good hands, Joe. That jump sounds awesome! Good thing he's got a huge set of brass balls. I get scared going up in airplanes, no way I could ever jump out of one.
