OT: Adult son living in FT.Myers, FL looking for work
Thought I'd give this a try... one of my adult sons, Joseph, college grad, married, 2 children, living in FT. Myers, FL, lost his job 3 months ago and has not been able to find acceptable employment since.
Anyone in that area looking to employ a career minded, college educated individual? He would prefer non-sales, good with his hand, and mind.
Some background... Joseph has formal training and experience in custom scenery construction (to a lesser degree, also lighting, sound, and video production) for live events, He's served two apprenticeships under two separate General Contractors, although those did not last as long as he would have liked due to the downturn in the housing market in the Ft.Myers area. He's done a good deal of sales and sales management, training and employee development (both in the carpentry shop and in the sales world), and have had his hands in a few other things from time to time. As to the specific job he's looking for, he' really like to be able to put his carpentry skills to work, perhaps with a bit of sales from time to time as needed. Having achieved a high degree of confidence and skill in theatrical carpentry, he'd love to branch out into another discipline. If you are looking to hire, he would appreciate the opportunity to talk about what you're looking for and maybe show you what he can do.
If so, please contact him ( jsavino@gmail.com ) directly.
Thanks all!
