Yes Bob,you are very lucky indeed as my birth father was a dirty low down ladies man who neglected mum and us kids so that he could enjoy his sort of wild life and my stepfather was even lower then that at the end of the day. So I know your responsibility in caring for your dad as I do in my caring for my mum and the rewards that come from it. On enough note, yeah, you know....... you could always give up the smokes and take up cycling...... hey..... don't shoot me friend, I just care about you as friends do..I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Unlike Dad, I don't have anyone to take care of me, so smoking will insure I kick before I need assistance.Bob

Funny that you should say that, mum and I had that same discussion just the other day and I told her that I have endless number of friends in America to go and meet and me take in all these awesome hotrod events to keep me going until I passed away sitting behind the steering wheel of the bucket.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Bob.
I'm confused. If you weren't banned why did you post this on another forum?
"I too have a ban from the HAMB that states "never" for the lifting of the ban. I'm going to tell you something you more than likely already know, and that is the HAMB is no more advanced in its culture than your average junior high school. You were more than likely banned because you started a post that got too many replies and your little post counter, being in 3 digits, proclaims that you have not been around enough to deserve an active thread. Some of the best and most witty folks I have met on the automotive forums have been banned by the HAMB, so consider a ban the compliment that it is.

Because Russ, I was replying to a fellow member that got banned from the HAMB for referring to a mod as a "turd", no big deal really. I wasn't recently banned, but was awhile ago.Last edited by deckofficer; 08-17-2011 at 11:07 PM.

Actually, You were banned and then came back under a new name. Looks like you certainly wanted to play in the "junior high" playground.

BOB!!!.I don't care about another sites business.I do care about you saying you understood why the other thread on this topic was locked by Bill and now it seems you have let this thread slip into the same thing.Almost like you ignored Bill and that Sir nice car/knowledge and all I can not or will not support. You would have to be blind not in the last few posts to see why Bill said it is not in the interest of this site.So being the best friend to you right now,I am asking you moving forward to let it go and move on.Good Bye

Mick,
I'll be straight with you, I did return to the HAMB only because they are the largest automotive forum (even though the way they grew that site was other than honorable), and as such, by me being active on that forum allows exposure to the few there that have T-buckets and are being treated in the HAMB "special" way. By being able to interact, I can suggest a forum that is all about their rides. Yes, that is self serving as far as growing my forum, but it is a win win, the folks that have a T-bucket but aren't getting any love there, come to my site and fit right in because we are into the high power to weight ratio of buckets.Bob

Deckofficer I find you to be an interesting Guy . Hard to believe you got banned from any Forum ? And if Folks here really do want to be Friends with you they should be open minded enough to hear you out when you want to talk about something . Gary1 it's nice that you Love it here so much but others do go to different forum as I go to Deckofficer's T-Bucket Forum here and Denny's Place .Wisdom is acquired by experience, not just by age

It does appear I should have heeded my own advice in post # 1. There are good folks on this forum, but I know right now I'm on thin ice here, but never planned for that to happen when Bug, a Cobra buddy suggested this forum to me. It would be rather foolish of me to start a history here, just to lose it due to switch pulling mods. First, I met mrmustang, a gentleman that shares with me a big ego, too bad though that our ego's clash. Then along comes "Itoldyouso", I believe his handle speaks for itself. Now geezer69 is just a cool dude, always like meeting folks like him. Whiplash23, a fellow caregiver to an elderly parent, we both know the trials of that job, and I commend you my friend. Speaking of friends, lotsatoys, Russ, I really wanted to be your friend, as I thought we have a lot in common, i.e. modern engines, 5 speed sticks, you giving up hang gliding 2 years ago, me giving it up 25 year ago. My best friend moved to Oregon, and even through all of this, you tell me I'm still invited to stop by, but you really have me confused as to what you really think of me. You did just meet a mutual friend recently, Ted Brown, and maybe he told you other than having the ego of a ship's captain, I'm not such a bad person if met in person. 1Gary, I do appreiciate you changing the subject awhile back in this thread to gas mileage. Hoss429 admitted he didn't have a good start on this forum either but tells me to "hang in there" which I did until Russ steered things back to the negative. I just don't understand lotsatoys, he has done things like this in the past. And then we have "lifestylzs", who says he has over 11 years and at least a 1000 posts at hotrodder's, but his post counter registers 5 posts, basicily meaning he is a lounge lizard, as your post number doesn't increase for posts in that topic. Folks have told me to look for a common denominator during these little conflicts, and I guess I'm it. Sorry to have bothered the good folks on this forum, and to the folks that fall under "the pot calling the kettle black", I'm glad to have twisted that stick up your butt just a little, my job is done.Last edited by deckofficer; 08-18-2011 at 09:52 AM.

Tango, thanks man. As one of my newer friends that "gets me" early in our friendship, you understand my only agenda is to promote hot rod's resurgence back on the public scene (like it was in the 60's), enjoy the friendships of like minded souls, and try my best to document current hot rod gatherings by attending and taking pictures that I then post to the forums that are kind enough to accept me, warts and all.Bob
