Jenson buttons does a hot lap of mount panorama Bathurst in his F1 car
don't know if you guys have seen this before, earlier this year Jensen Button did a few hot laps of Bathurst mount panorama in his F1 car. the in car view shows just how tricky and steep the track is. Bathurst is only an hour from where i live, I am hoping to make it down in October for the bathurst 1000 V8 Super cars race.
cheers barnsey.

Yea, F1 is coming to Austin 2012. A new track is being built as we speak. A promotional film is being shot this morning downtown on Congress. Can you believe it is closed to the public. We (Texas) donated 25,000,000.00 to the (project),cause; whatever.

yeah i heard that, and the Austraian V8 Supercars will also be racing there from 2013
V8 Super car kingpin Tony Cochrane has signed off on a deal that will see the V8 Supercar category race in Austin, Texas from 2013. V8SC has signed a five-year deal with the state, and the race will be broadcast live on the motorsport cable channel Speed across the US.
The circuit in question is the yet-to-be-built Circuit of the Americas in Austin, the capital of Texas. It’ll host a round of the F1 championship next year.
Is this a good thing? The series now has FIA standing, and can run as many as six races of its 18-race calendar off shore. Thanks to its expansion into areas like the Middle East, it’s quite easy now to move the series from country to country, and the US will be a very receptive market (though it’s never going to do the same kind of numbers as the behemoth NASCAR).

Thanks for sharing I see what you mean by steep, as he is making a few turns, your thinking which way is the road going to go?" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

And remember guys, Jenson had the whole mountain to himself,so now imagine twenty or more V8 salon cars bumper to bumper racing across the hill, oh a must watch weekend here in NZ as in Aussie especially the Ford against the Holden GM batter that goes with it. Just excellent !!!I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

It is great having a track empty so that you can drive at yours and the cars limits without the worry of others. You do miss "reeling in" the competition on the straights, but at least he got to reel in the helicopter a few times.Bob
