Vir.got hit with wide spread power outages. The personal stories never get news coverage for the the most part.It is a shame that those sound bites of news most on where the after effects are still very real to those who are living then right now.
I sure wish Barb would check in..................Good Bye

Just been watching the news, and it doesnt look good in some areas..Prattsville is under water..Where in the state is that??Isnt there a regular member on here who lives in Prattsville??Just cant think who it is..
I would think, that if Virginia got walloped hard,Barb will not have power..but it is unnerving, not knowing,or not being able to do anything..How much of Irene did Florida get??Micah 6:8
If we aren't supposed to have midnight snacks,,,WHY is there a light in the refrigerator???

i am back. we really got hit hard. wind howled at 60 + for over 6 hours. power lines down everywhere with trees on top of them. we did not get alot of damage at my house. tore my trees apart but i learned along time ago living in virginia to not plant anything too close to our house. lost power for 28 hours and then the internet took a couple of hours longer to come back on because it tore of our fiber optic cable. the monte is fine. we had a small neighbor party where we all broke out our grills and cooked everything in our freezers before it spoiled. very good eating. after the power went out saturday night charlie and i got dressed in our rain gear and went out to play a little. really makes you feel alive to be standing in the rain and tasting salt water with the winds. a state trooper stopped by and asked us very nicely to go back inside so that he does not have come back later to come find us. thank you all for the concern. it was a really wild ride.BARB

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
