Here's some of our local coverage of Prattsville. The town is in tough shape but it appears no fatalities been reported:
Town tackles flooding - YNN, Your News Now
Also, there is a Mohawk River - Schoharie Creek video. The Mohawk is about a 200-300 yards wide where the normally 50 yard wide Schoharie joins it. That creek is notorious after it collapsed a bridge on I-90 in the late '80s which killed a bunch of folks that couldn't stop in time.Dave W

Man, that is some video, Dave!!! The aerial video really gives an idea of just how extensive the damage really is----The bridge with no approach on either end really looks strange! Going to be a lot of work and a lot of $$$$$ to get the area back to anything near normal.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I'm here. I had limated battery power/ time on the internet per charge on my laptop, but I got a lead cord to run into the room where the mobile broadband works.. Prattsville was hit very hard and 85% of the town is no longer inhabitable. to my knowladge, everyone in the town is safe, and I am because my house is way up in the hills.. I was down today helping the hardest hit buisnuess which is the hardware/ feed store.. the gas station washed away, and the bridge is twisted and buckled. 1 way out of town now, as they have reopened the road
some pics I took today

Makes me think about what kind of claim those people have to turn in.Flood or hurricane??. I would think most people don't have a floor rider on there home owners. The news said FEMA doesn't have enough money to cover the damages.
Yeah-I pray for those poor souls that lost it all.Good Bye
