If you like ribs, be sure to stop by the Rendevous Restaurant in Memphis, quite possibly the best dry rub smoked ribs in the world! Not to mention a visit to Graceland where Elvis's collection of cars is on display." "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Steve,
As you travel from Savannah to Memphis if you go via Atlanta there is a Summit retail outlet at McDonough, GA on I75 south of Atlanta a bit. I have been told it is a great way to spend a few hours roaming the aisles - basically it is a Summit Racing catalog layed out like a supermarket. Might want to have Sue hold the credit cards until you're clear of the doors on the way out....Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Hey mate you and Sue have a marvellous trip and enjoy your selves. Now you two be careful in that hot scorching sun as we all know how our English friends burn. Oh,I have booked the Morris Minor low light two door with trad flat head 4 with the optional wide whites at Hertz rentacar for you so no speeding tickets eh.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Steve, There is a cool car museum just north of Fort Myers (About 35 Minutes) in Punta Gorda. It is called Muscle Car City. Their Website is musclecarcity.net
Here their description from their website if this interests you. Dad, dan and I have been there and it is really cool. Lots of muscle cars.
"Opened the first week of March 2009, Rick Treworgy's Muscle Car City features nearly 200 automobiles of every era dating back to the 1920's.
As per its name, the museum's major focus is on the "muscle cars" of the mid 60's to early 70's - the Pontiac GTOs, Chevy Corvettes, Oldsmobile Cutlass 442s, Chevelles, Camaros and high-horsepower Impalas that revved up the imaginations of teens and young adults all over.
The museum includes a 60's diner themed cafe as well as a memorabilia gift shop carrying everything from T-shirts, posters and jewelry to neon signs and gas pumps."
It might be a cool stop for you too. Check their webste as they are closed a few days during the summer.Last edited by Mr Blue; 08-27-2011 at 08:03 PM.
