    Safety in racing

It's been awhile since we've had much of a discussion on the safety aspects of racing and the many improvements to driver safety that has evolved in racing over the years.

Here's a link to a video from "the good old days" of circle burnin'--it's unedited and quite graphic. Next time someone is complaining about all the safety equipment the sanctioning bodies require, send them this link and perhaps they'll better understand why safety considerations should be the first priority in any kind of build!!!!

Its not the speed that kills its the lack of knowledge in what to do with it. I'd bet a lot of people didn't know they used to race with the mechanic in the car.... Today that may be good payback That is a good video I've seen parts of it before. Saftey pays in that you stand a better chance of getting out and walking away. Thanks Dave
