the world stopped spinnin that day for a while.i was at the drivin range when the old man that ran the place came out yellin that somethin really bad was happenin.i still have a hard time with it. i know we all do but its just hard to take in even after 10 years.that day will never go away. i knew them buildins were fixin o fall. ive helped build many of em.i still dont see how them idiots pulled it off. that one plane didnt make its target.thank god and a few brave folks.dangit , this is a tough one to swallow. sometimes it still seems like a bad dream, but its all to real.i still dont see how people can hate so much.

Lyndas cousin,Michelle Arcus,(cant remember her married name..she was married to a jewish guy),had a store three blocks from the twin towers(she is probably still there)..called ''Stella''at 138 W Broadway,,..,selling cushions,curtains,drapery,etc..and she called her folks at some time early morning to let them know she was still alive,,and then had to tell them,,''Well, turn the tv on and watch''I think poor ol Uncle Ross nearly had a cow..Google stellastore.com and find the family connection..

Great little store with a definite connection to 9/11 - - thanks for sharing that.

P.S. also today in N.Y. one of your own won the U.S.Open Women's Championship by beating Serena Williams in straight sets. Samantha "Sam" Stosur became the first Aussie Women's Tennis player to win a Grand Slam Tourney.

    No hi-jack intended

As I watch the program on CBS about 911-I remember that credit ratings aside, unemployment problems abound, dissatisfaction about yet another President and Congress, and all the other issues we complain about............................WE ARE STILL ONE.All of us.

One more thing. This forum is a close net family. One that I am very lucky to have found and am very proud to be apart of.Thank You guys very much for enriching my days.

I watched a Documentary about the Fire Fighters last night on CBS that was very well done.
I never knew or realized the life changing effect that 9/11 had on some of those heroes of that'
day. There were many deaths that resulted from the toxic smoke that some of them were breathing while trying
to find any and all survivors and victims in that rubble.

Last night,on our channel 92(Fox,I think)there was a program about the very same thing..(ours started at 9pm).There were survivors fom the 84th floor,on ne tower, who was in his office, and saw the plane coming at him,,so he hit the deck, and he said that the wing took out his office door,et,,about 20feet from where he lay, under his desk..I think anyone who got out of that mess was extremely blessed..and I also salute the people on the Philadelphia flight who attacked the hijackers, even if they did perish,,they went down fighting..Even though I had seen news coverage when it happened,it chilled me last night,,quite upsetting to watch it happen..
