Sounds like you folks there in the really deep South have the same problem we have - you can't pick and choose what you really want to watch. For me to get SPEED Channel, I need to subscribe to the "sports tier" which includes golf, tennis, basketball, rasslin' and hockey - none of which I want nor will watch.
We have been borrowing DVD series from our excellent library. We are up to date on MI5, Bones through season 4, 24, Monarch of the Glen and now we are watching the Mentalist. The @#$%ing commercials drive me to drink on most programs so after watching a couple of DVD episodes, off to either read or wander the internet for a couple hours before bed - and then we can start all overDave W

Yeah,Dave,,we get three sports channels, which are full of football, rugby, anything else that resembles sport,,,and the motorsport,,NASCAR,,WRC,local events,,highlites,,etc,,plus we have ESPN,,which has a lot of dragracing, tractor pulls,etc..which is all I really want to watch,sportwise..
We got lotsa DVDs we havent seen yet,,and haunt the cheap bins, scouring for all the old car related movies we can find..then they usually sit around for several weeks till we get a chance to watch them...Micah 6:8
If we aren't supposed to have midnight snacks,,,WHY is there a light in the refrigerator???

Steve - we will still watch an episode of Monarch if it comes on PBS. I even took pictures of the estate from across the lake a few years ago when we were in Scotland.

Sorry for your loss of friend Mike McGee, Shine. Great trans men are few and far between, it seems. Sadly, Mike Frade was only 66 and had been talking about retirement for ten years that I know...
