Dave I thought about that.Guess I am a hard core drag racer where it is more about the race than the crashes. So they get moved up in the stands.I think the money is more about the TV coverage than paid tickets.Yea it is a stupid attitude on my part, but if it would help save a driver's life in my mind it is well worth it.
But as you said already,we will have to see what they come up with for 2012.Good Bye

There is a meeting tomorrow with Indy driver's, owners, track operators, and IRL officials. It had been scheduled before Dan's death, but it sounds like the meeting will discuss the new car for next year and other IRL safety concerns.
Oh yeah, a Spanish motorcycle Grand Prix rider (motorcycle racing's version of F1) was killed today so the non-motorsports media "experts" will have a whole new batch of hype to peddle and will forget all about the IRL.... can hardly wait to hear their suggestions to improve safety in motorcycle racing!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Dave I like you say the media can kiss my backside.I trust opinions like your's who have been in and around circle track racing for yrs. Some of those "grass roots" racing guys have the best solutions.
I would think the Indy car events have to be insured and some of those changes whether they make sense or not would be made just to keep those insurance companies happy.Good Bye
