After spending 2 hours on Dell's software support line, talking with 3 different guys I am assuming were all in India, I'd have to agree, that this stuff is frustrating. For all of our legally immigrating forefathers, it wasn't a requirement to speak English when they moved to America, it was something they all did, because they wanted to live here and work here and raise their families here. Now days, it seems that the people cutting across the border illegally, don't want to integrate into our society, or learn our language, or follow our laws. They want to cut to the front of the line, without the wait, that everyother immigrant from other nations are doing legally.
We have people from all over the world coming here to start a new(hopefully better life) by legal channels, and everyday somebody does this illegally, it's a slap in the face for all of the others who suffer hardship and paperwork, etc., doing it they way they are suppose to.
Here in California, we practically invite the illegal migration across our borders. We offer huge incentives to do so. We provide free health care and instant citizenship to any mom who does this and has a child here. Then we provide free education, special ed and language classes for the kids. We subsidize low income housing to provide shelter, and we offer foodstamps and formula to feed them. It's a wonder why the entire country of Mexico, doesn't uproot and cross the border and demand a free ride?
I don't begrudge people seeking a better life, I just hate the cheaters who cut to the front of the line, and then act entitled for doing so. And to be frankly honest, I'm tired of paying for it from my tax dollars. We have a lot of folks here legally getting less and paying more for it!Last edited by stovens; 10-26-2011 at 12:26 PM.

Alan I'm doing o.k., how about you?
I'm just really frustrated that we give more to those who don't pay into the system, than to those who do. I think if you want to bring up native americans, or go back further in history you can, but it doesn't solve any current problems, that need to be addressed now. It seems if you want to argue, you can, but it doesn't correct our current problems with our system. Once the U.S. formed as a country, and established laws as such, then this nation laid down rules of living here. I think, we could go back in history to an infinite point showing exploition, concuring, slavery etc.. that are wrong and unjust, but it won't help our current situation, our school systems, the high unemployment rate or poor. If we blantantly ignore laws, then we promote anarchy. Yes some laws don't make sense, and are the problem to begin with. Tonight a couple flew in to california, from overseas and had a baby, they claimed the wife wasn't due for 10 weeks yet. That baby is now a citizen, and as such protected by the very system, that will garnish a U.S. citizen's wages for the rest of their life to pay for the same services, these people just recieved for free. If you don't see the problem in this, then you are either not paying taxes, or are independantly wealthly and aren't strugling to make ends meet.
Like I said before, I don't begrudge people seeking a better life, but I do have a problem with them steeling peoples Social security numbers, driving uninsured, and using our hospitals and schools illegally." "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

It's the same all over the world.
The UK, Europe, and yes, even in the South Pacific.
The Indonesion 'boat people' have been a huge problem to successive Australian Goverments.
The buy decrepit hulks, and set out in the hope they'll make it.
And if they don't?
Then it's a 'Mayday' call to the Royal Australian Navy 'demanding' to be rescued, and deposited safely on Ausralian soil.
Those that are intercepted are placed in Refugee Detention Centres, where they are processed to ascertain their refugee status, which understandably, owing to sheer numbers, and trying to prove they are who they claim to be, may take some time.
Its become 'fashionable" among refugees if they feel their case isn't processed quickly enough, to climb onto the roof tops and throw rocks at the Centre's wardens...amongst other things.
Some have even suicided...although the logic behind that quite eludes me
So you fellas are not alone!johnboy

If your proud to be a American, then your proud to use and learn English.Did you know who is the fastest growing population in the US??.That one I'll leave to not much of a imagination.China has a law of one child. So they and others come here to have children making them a US citizen.I'm all good with that.I think the kids should have the benefits of our country. This sounds hash. But a law should read the kids get placed in a foster home for proper care and the parents get sent back.Done deal.Or no children born here for the sole purpose of violating their home countries laws are not allowed to stay in respect of that countries laws.
Look-we can not afford this junk anymore.Our families,our children,ourselfs first.Good Bye
Getting closer on this project. What a lot of work!
