Happy Friday----Whatcha up to???
A glorious Friday here in South Dakota!!! First week of November and our weather is still nice for a change! Not much exciting here for the weekend, out in the garage working on the Plymouth and maybe a bit of clean-up for the lawn... Gonna take it easy for the weekend, nothing big planned at all!
Always fun to see what others have planned!
Whatcha got going on for the weekend?????Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Gonna be a nice one in the Lou also. Gonna spend it in the garage making some more body parts for the coupe. But from a previous thread, might have a hard cider hunt added in.

We are supposed to get a cool front coming through today, but yesterday was in the 80's, so I took my roadster out for a little 80 mile drive to get some lunch.
Today is Dan's day off so he is going to work on getting his engine ready for paint. While he is doing that I am going to work on cleaning the shop and also working on making a trophy for Billetproof next Spring. I volunteered to make a trophy for Best Competition car and have been gathering parts to make it. I got some of it done last night and think I have it all figured out. I thought it would be easy to make one but I have rejected 3 or 4 that I started on already.
It has been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO nice down here since the temps have dropped out of the 90's that a person feels like doing stuff.

Nice here too! Low 80s... dry... and pretty sunny.
Might help Mama drag some stuff out of the shed for Christmas charities...
...but mostly I am doing final-block sanding on a '68 AMX. It will look much like the old red-white & blue Superstockers! I'll post pictures in a couple weeks.
Gonna work all weekend on it. It's been here too long already. I'm getting burned out, and want to move on to the next project! :-)

Been dodging trash that's blowing around in the wind, and raindrops this afternoon. This morning I got the '59 rolled out in front of the garage so I can start cleaning it up some and chasin' the spiders away; pulled the brake drums when I was putting the wheels and tires on it the other day - ugh, time for a complete teardown and restoration, gonna put discs on the front, and mayhaps see if I can find a more up to date rearend, rather than rebuilding the brakes on the old one again. Then this afternoon I went and broke the bank, so to speak, arranged the wire transfers of funds to the escrow company for the house we are buying; that took most of the afternoon. The rest of the weekend will be whatever comes down the pike, like most of the time; we seldom plan anything too far ahead of things.Rrumbler, Aka: Hey you, "Old School", Hairy, and other unsavory monickers.

The cold front came through today and boy did it drop the temps ! Dan and I just stopped for dinner after working at the shop all day and it was 61 out, had to put the heater on in the car coming home.
Dan got a lot of his block prep done today and I got a lot of things straightened up in the shop. Don recently rented the same sized shop right next to ours and has moved his stuff all over there, but instead of having twice the space it seems both shops are just as crowded as before. Tomorrow I am going to continue cleaning and revamping our shop and try to make some sense out of it all.

Missed your Friday Dave, but just to catch up, as Rrumbler said, weather front moved in, by later in the afternoon we were getting a pretty good rain. Tweaked a little on the roadster for the show at Goldstrom's later today.
The night before however we had a pretty nice sunset as some of the clouds were moving in over the mountains..........Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Gotta be Shop Fairies, Don. All those things that you have in your hand, set down just for a minute and can never find again must have been hidden by the Shop Fairies, and now they're bringing things back to fill the space. Bet you'll find things you forgot you had....
Our Friday was a beautiful day, too, low 60's in the afternoon, just too nice to stay home so I checked the internet to confirm the Friday Night Cruise In was still on and drove into town in the late afternoon traffic. Got to the place and I was the only one there... Oh well, nice day for the 40 mile round trip, anyway. Deer are going into rut here, so dusk is a treacherous time to be out!!Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

We have had several days here in the Great Northeast when that bright yaller thing has been hanging in the crystal blue sky (nahh, not poetic). My 100' oak trees, and luckily no acorns this year, finally decided to start dropping their leaves - and of course, the day after I finished doing the maple leaves. Lots of little 'niggler' jobs before the snows fly
Picked up the wife's new wheels yesterday(Friday), a 2012 Ford Fusion. Really nice car and at least a good gas mileage offset from my truck. The dash 'Lie-ometer' said 32mpg on the way home.
Last evening, today and tomorrow, been and will be helping the local politicians get reelected by doing a literature drop through the town. Our town actually has a very strong ethics code, so these folks are (as pols go!!) honest and pretty decent people.Dave W

Bob you must live somewhere near my brother. He keeps posting sunsets like that from Steilacoom WA. Absolutely gorgeous! Today is exterior security camera instalation. After some kind souls removed the catalytic converter from our truck, in front of the house on a busy street, I figured if I want to keep it parked on the street, then I better have some way of tracking the guys when they come back to steal the new one!" Stevie, up in Wa. I'm maybe 25-30 miles from Steilacoom, but this particular picture is from the foothills in Henderson, NV.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
