I gave up my own cars to help others with paint. Today the ultimate compliment that I see is "when the camera comes out". :-)
If they like it enough to take a picture home... or want their friends to see it... they must like it!

I was told by one of the great granddads of our hobby here in NZ that I had the best,well proportioned T Buckets he had ever seen and absolutely adored it. This guy owns a steel '32 Roadster that he build in the '60's channelled down low that he parked away in the storage shed on his orchard for many years. We ended up having a one on one chat for approximately and hour which I was so honoured to enjoy.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

A long time ago I was at a show and some little kids came up and asked "How do you get in your car" (no door handles) I told them just say "Open sesame" and it will open. Well one tried it and with my hand in my pocket to work the remote the door opened.... Before long I had a bunch of kids there saying it to open the door.. I had fun and so did theyCharlie

i love this!
i took my vintage jeep to a car show once.
and as usual there were cars with signs DONT TOUCH!
so i put one on the jeep that said
PLEASE TOUCH!
i let kids crawl all over it .
honk the horn etc.
i went for a walk and a little girl had her dollys buckled in and was taking them shopping
it was the last word in cute.Last edited by billy zz; 11-14-2011 at 04:42 PM.

I get responses to my threads like this......
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chassis guy, fabricator, CNC dude, Bodyman......... Your skill and quality is simply incredible. Every time I open this thread up it's something new and unique. I have a serious appreciation for those who do it all themselves and your at the top of the list.
Just sayin ..........
Kinda makes me feel good when I get replies like that. I've had so little time to work on the "Z" the last few months most people probably don't even remember it anymore."PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.
"LIVE" your life like you could die tomorrow.
