I guess we're in the minority, but even when it is the two of us we eat at the table between the kitchen and the great room area. We can see the TV from there, and it is often on during dinner time. If it is me alone I am in the same spot - I never take a plate of food to my recliner - not sure why, just don't do it. We use the dining room table often when the kids & grandkids come for holiday meals, or to celebrate family birthdays. We're very big on family functions (Grandma insists), with everyone getting together at least once a month in addition to a son or daughter coming for dinner occasionally with their spouse/fiance. We're fortunate to have all three kids in the metro area, ranging from 5 to 50 miles away.Last edited by rspears; 11-16-2011 at 03:18 PM.
