I hope that homemade ????? has some sort of historical value.
Maybe the engine ran hot and they wanted to keep the carb up in the airflow...at least I'm enjoying the ride!

I know it's normally accepted to post Ebay ads, but when it's intended for fun and not some hot buy I couldn't resist!

oh yeah share away, the seller wrote back to us telling me that ratrods markets are hot! and told my buddy that the 1500 was money well spent! man for a seller that is calling themselves an experienced builder and seller of performance products i guess my standards are just a bit higher than this contraptionR.I.P. High price on a rig like that kind of goes against the concept of rat rodding doesnt it?...at least I'm enjoying the ride!

yeah rat rodding is supposed to be about low budget builds and or finding vintage parts to use/reuse on your rod. some vintage parts fetch a pretty penny, but if i gave someone $1500 to build a vintage highrise manifold and make it look like something vintage and got this, id be pissed i got some standard tubing mounted to a piece of bent flat steel with a junk box on top and said here ya go! we told the seller if he wants we can build him another for a hundred bucks and he can mark em up all day long! lolR.I.P. Worst part is, some pup will get this, bolt it on then go around telling other young pups that this is how things were done "back in the day".Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

yeah exactly Dave! then they'll all be that worse off, it's one thing to teach someone a lil history it's another to have to reteach them the right way! old school hot rodders may have designed their own intakes, but i've never seen one look this bad! theres a reason why we know names like edelbrock, so cal speedshop, isky, etc etc etc,,,they not only had their hand in designing functional products but they also made sure they looked like a finished piece worthy enough to bolt onto your pride n joy.R.I.P.
