Me too. I've gotten some receipts that you put away and the next time you look at them they are totally black. Must be the paper or ink they are using these days. It's a conspiracy so that when you try to return something they say "I can't do that, your receipt is illegible !"

Yeah, it's common to most stores with cash register generated receipts which are printed on thermal paper - it's both faster and cheaper for the stores. You can store them in a cool, dark, dry place to slow the fade, but if it's something you need to keep the only proven way to save the information is to scan the receipt as soon as you can. Temperature swings, especially in a car will affect them quickly, and any type of oils (like from food or plastics) erases them very fast.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I noticed that recently when I was putting some of their receipts away in a binder for my boat. You could not even read the darn thing! Looks like a I will be making a copy on the copier before I file them for now on.Don Jr.

Hmm - maybe we should write checks in the same manner and when the merchants go to deposit them - the check will be "blank""Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty." John Basil Barnhil
