PM Limits
Just asking if a total of PM's could be assigned to warn either a person trying to send a PM to a member or the member who's PM it is they need to clear it out.Sure is a pain to type out a PM to be told that member has exceeded his limit and then lose what you have typed.I have run into that more than once. Please and thank you.Good Bye

Gary, I agree it's a pain to type out a PM, hit "send" and then see that the receiving party has exceeded his capacity - worse is if you don't notice and assume it has gone but is "stuck"Another peeve is exceeding the 1000 character limit and having to pare back words
If you do notice it did not go out, the message is still there and you can cut the text and paste it into an e-mail to that person unless they have elected to block e-mails from members. I can't see how the warning could be generated before the PM is sent and hits the wall, but then I'm not a computer jock by any measure.

Roger-it all starts with a warning your about to hit your limit.Face it.The core people of the site are the ones not knowing their pm box is full.Good Bye

Thanks Brent.Just to know where you stand in terms of limits would be very helpful. And yes I was talking about losing a typed msg because who your sending it to has gone over their limit too.You don't know that in advance. Some forums have a system that stores msgs over the limit, but can't be read until the limit is met again.Good Bye

Well in the main stream of life which at times suck and most certainly not to derail what the main topics of this site should be about, this time I had a minor stroke.I'm back home, but for this yr I think I have enough of this kind of thing.Good Bye

While the term "minor stroke" is used often medically, in my book any stroke is serious business as I am sure it is to you, Gary. About all you can do is take care of yourself and follow the doctor's orders as much as you can. Hope this is the end of your physical trials, Gary.Roger
