Change your oil @ 3K not in calif
So now the great thinkers are going to mandate when we can or should change our oil. The idea being brought forward is to increase the cycle from 3k to 7k. Even going to have some paper work to be filled out by the shop changing that oil early. Another pathetic idea from some bureaucrat, that knows little about what he speaks.
This is laughable and another law I will be breaking. Think I am finally starting to figure out why some folks go postal. LOL
So what are your thoughts ?
Comply or oil change, new moon and midnight. Is that your face or did your pants fall down?

Also heard tonight on a news program that Caliphonia was now considering a law requiring male porn stars to wear a condom while making films!!!!!
How could anyone with an even half way functional brain tolerate such idiocy from elected officials????? Do any normal people even bother voting anymore, how could these sort of things actually be taken under consideration by the legislature???
WOW!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

They re-elected Governor "Moonbeam" Brown so they will get what they asked for, speaking of condoms too bad His Daddy didn't use one.About the light bulbs, notice they are all "Made in China" and since they now contain mercury they will be getting thrown in landfills so they can seep into the ground water, that is common sense at work.

No problem on that, only time I did there was for a couple of industry related schools and a stopping point before wespac. The first time I read the oil change bit was from the left coast. I am starting to notice it is picking up traction here and there.
Changing oil yourself, like I said midnight and a new moon.Is that your face or did your pants fall down?

Yep our state is full of nuts! Our gun laws in and of themselves make no sense to anyone, yet all of our elected officials love to write worthless legeslature so they can grandstand! My favorite is Moonbeam is now providing financial aid to the illegal aliens who don't pay the taxes that fund the aid! This is the same problem we have with Medicare here. If you are pregnant, here illegally, we give you free health care funded by tax payers, make your child a citizen. Yet if you are here legally, we won't help you financially with health care unless your on welfare, and we garnish your medical bills from your paycheck for the rest of your life.
The best in my opinion is allowing people to vote for property tax increases that will fund these whacked out programs and free handout, that don't own property. We really should be called the handout state. We have a majority of citizens now who don't work, don't pay into the system, voting for people like Moonbeam who will give the workers of this state more taxes, and less policy that benefits the working class, but promotes a socialistic state of lazy individuals to continue not to work! UGGGGGGGGGGGGHH don't get me started!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

It hasn't gotten to the point of mandate YET, but it is California. The state enviro folks actually launched their campaign in 2008 from what I've read. The latest set of articles pumping up the idea and website is just a lapdog media beating the drum for their buddies. State hopes to break car owners' habit of changing oil too often - latimes.com
Much as with the Federal Gov. to point the finger only at the Governor or President is to not understand how government operates. In neither case are those offices dictators (though some of the occupants may wish it were so). While Californians switch parties of the Governor from time to time, they almost always send the same folks back to office in the Assembly (State equivalent of the Federal Congress). Just as at the Federal level, all new laws/regulations/taxes start in the Assembly (Congress). Californians continue to send the same, or same thinking, people to the legislative body year after year for decades now. Doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different outcome is the definition of.................................................................................................. ..yup...........insanity. California gets what it deserves.......sadly too many other states and their citizens will follow.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Yep, what Uncle Bob said!!! Many people like to blame the President, blame the Governor, or someone they feel is in charge and makes all the decisions. Not true, all these people are is the most visible and the easiest to blame. As Bob said, the problem starts with who we send to our state and federal legislatures. I'm always amazed at how few people actually know who represents their District in the state legislature, but then it doesn't matter who they are cuz anything that goes wrong in the state is the Governor's fault!!!!
I guess it's just easier to cast blame and point fingers then it is to actually get involved and do something about who we elect as representatives at every level!!! The way I see it, things always come back to the same old deal.....If you aren't part of the solution then you must be part of the problem....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I beleave people go into the voteing booth and just vote for the incombent or a streight ticket then complainabout the results. Do your research before election day so you know who's who. Then vote The wrong guy can't get in if hes not voted for.Charlie
