    Finally, TV worth watching!!!!!

The Encore Western channel is playing a couple days worth of the original "Gunsmoke" 1/2 hour shows!!!! James Arness is young and Kitty is a fox!!!!

Gunsmoke was my Grandpa's favorite show! I remember telling him once I wanted to be a Marshall just like Matt Dillon---He told me I was to small to be Matt Dillon and from that day forward he called me Chester!!!!!!!

[QUOTE=Dave Severson;449277] from that day forward he called me Chester!

One evening while Jane and I were waiting to be seated at a restaurant in Kentucky a man and his teenage daughter walked over to me. He looked at me for a couple of seconds then said "Excuse me, sir, but aren't you Dennis Weaver?"

I told them "No, I'm not" and added that at that time I was actually an unemployed itinerant construction worker. The girl said "Wow! you really look like him and sound EXACTLY like he does!"

Hmmm .... I thought I sounded a lot like General Robert E. Lee probably sounded. I guess I was wrong.
