The Supreme Court Justices asked some very interesting questions, especially of the government's lawyer!!! Justice Roberts asked if it's legal to require everyone to have medical insurance, would it then be legal to require everyone to have a cell phone??? His point being the constitutionality of the government mandating it's citizens to buy things. Probably be June before we here the outcome, but it didn't sound good for the law's supporters!!!!! Proud to say that South Dakota is in the group of states that brought the case to challenge the law!!!
Something has to be done about all the health care issues in this country, but this law only creates more chaos in an already chaotic system!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Since we live in Mass. this really hits home for me as we were part of the minority who were run over with the Romney steam roller when they snuck this one in. And no-one outside of the state will know the reality of the mess this whole system is in. It's a fools errand to attempt to even use "your insurance"! The red tape and mis-management is horrible and what's worse, the "people" on welfare actually have a better plan! In this state, your better off going un-employed and onto welfare! The state will get you an apartment, get you a fridge, put food in it and give you electric power and a phone! Why go to work?!?!
I have nothing but utter contempt for Romney and am saddened that he looks to be the front runner for the GOP.
And your analogy of the cell phone is close to what we were saying back when they shoved this upon us. Romney and the "other guy" are just 2 sides of the same mirror in my opinion.. I also feel a lot of despair when I think of this country's future, we're doomed I think!

Charlie - Do your own homework - hearsay just doesn't work. I'm not really inspired by Romney but there really isn't, IMHO, a choice when you consider the alternative - The Obamination and the destruction of the Constitution plus his Marxist/socialist ideals. What I would like is a composite of the three top runners - but Ronald Reagan is gone so we take who can do the best at trying to return the US to a more solid basis and understand that the 'W' wasn't totally at fault for all of the problems, that the current administration have created their own set of problems.
Mike - I hear ya about MA and the insurance scam - but you also had/have a popularly elected democrat statehouse that endorsed it and voted it in place instead of vetoing the law. It isn't his law alone - who was the actual author - and why did he endorse it? Was the previous state insurance administrations so corrupt that something had to be done and this was the best alternative at the time? These would be my questions.Dave W

IMO, the key to a good leader is the ability to surround himself/herself with the smartest, most qualified people in the country, and then to be smart enough to listen to them and formulate a comprehensive plan for the country. I questioned the abilities of a Hollywood actor to have the moxy to be a world leader, but to me Ronald Reagan was one of the best examples of this in memorable history. He had the ability to persuade some of the biggest, most successful businessmen in the country that it was their duty to step up, walk away from their corporations, and join him in building good government, all the while using his wit and charm to communicate with the people, and get their support for the plan. As an individual Reagan may not have had the strongest qualifications, but he knew enough to admit what he did not know, and to surround himself with people who did know. To show how flawed this process can be we only have to look to a more recent actor who's "played the role" as Governor of California.
So far we have not heard anything about the details of the plan, from anyone at any time. Like wrestling with a pig in the mud - after a while one realizes that the pig doesn't really care who wins, he just likes the mud. At this stage in the process these guys just like being in the mud.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I agree to waiting to see who and what imergis from all the jaw flapping. I'm just afraid that if we don't come up with a Strong candidate ( which I don't see in this group) we'er going to have 4 more years of the same and we as a country may not survive.Charlie

Romney is certainly NOT Ronald Reagan!!!! Some would say that Reagan's deregulation of the banking industry was the beginning of the collapse last year... But Romney?? Remember, he's the guy who said campaign rhetoric is like an Etch-A-Sketch, once you're done you can shake it and everything you said is gone..... Admit it people, all we have this year is someone to vote against, and no one to vote for!!! What do we end up with, "Romney care" instead of Obama care??? I still haven't heard anyone with a plan to fix things, just everyone pointing out everyone else's mistakes!!!! So far, my vote still goes with 'None of the Above'......
Will any of these candidates every address the issues and tell us what their plan is, or are we stuck (again) voting for the lesser of two evils???? I'm with Charlie, if we don't get the right guy this time it could just be all over for our form of government as we know it..... But maybe it's outdated and ineffective anyway??? It is certainly no longer a government of the people......Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

If O would bring the troops home right now, he would get 90% of the votes cast in Nov. At leastif he did that, it would be the 2nd acceptable reason to vote for him--
Now having said that---If the Illinois Repubs hadn't run Alan Keyes for senator (black, wasn't even from Illinois) O would never of gotten elected to the senate---I had never even heard of him before that election---------

I was referring to me voting for him for senator as the first reason-----
He is the only candidate that could say he brought the troops home ( if he would do it) as he is the commander in chief( if he ain't on vacation or campaigning)
