I can guarantee you that I had no hidden agenda or made any attempt at stopping this thread. I did however hurt someone who I consider a friend. I guess what was written was interpreted in a way that I hadn't intended. As simple as that! While I read this thread always, I have since shied away from participation as my "enthusiasm" got me in trouble last time..
Besides, Dave S. seems to be aligned with my thoughts!

We all have passion about whats going on!! Do not apologize!! It all depends what side of the fence were on!! Politics is a never win argument!! we all have opinions and we know what they say about that!! We all love cars and to alot of people that itself is very strange!! Pete (I want everyone to have a good paying job and retire by at least 55 yrs you deserve it!!) Pete

Thanks for the kind sentiments Pete! I hope to retire in another 10 years. IF they let me!
And thanks to you Bob. I guess I mis-took your mention of my "incident" with Dave as there were some who wanted this thread closed soon after it happened. But now I'm wondering if you were thinking of the "original" craigslist thread...
HMMmmmm... famous old saying time! When one finds himself deep in a hole the first thing you do is stop digging!

Of all the places I visit online, I come here most often, stay the longest and truly enjoy the people here. The car wisdom is phenomenal and certainly what initially attracted a lot of us initially, but the wisdom and insight of many years of life is a commodity that's hard to duplicate. While I've met very few of you face-to-face, I feel like I know a bunch of guys (and gals too Barb!!) from England to Australia and all the points in between, and you're mostly just "my-kind-of-folks!"
I know I may tweak a beak now and again (mostly when some one wants a "lumpy cam" or bad mouths Q-Jets) but please know I have nothing but respect for those who frequently comment here. Don't always agree - but this is America and last I checked, we have that right!

Thanks! It's the most metal forming I've done. I was wishing I had an English wheel and a planishing hammer.
