Wow shine; you struck a nerve there!
I've had my employees steal from me even.
And I'm not talking about a few gallons of fuel 'evaporating'; I'm talking about thousands of dollars worth of stuff...some of it essential to the operation of my business.
When I caught one particular individual red-handed he whined: "You can afford it; you're rich!"
Yeah, I'm in a better financial position than many...but have you ever stopped to think how I reached that position?
By working 100 hr weeks for years.
For thirteen years I was never away from my business apart from one afternoon I took off to attend a Great-aunt's funeral.
Otherwise it was seven-days-a-week, fifty-two weeks-a-year.
I earned my money.
And, as you implied shine; many employees didn't deserve their pay-cheque.
They'd do anything to shirk their responsibilies.
And they knew thier rights too!
You couldn't fire them!
Not without three verbal warnings and three written warnings!
All the power was on their side...not mine.
On the other hand; (wearing Jerry's gloves,) I've had a lot (quite a lot when I think about it,) of really fine people work for me...people who became my friends...and are still good friends more than thirty years later...just genuinely fine people.
But the wasters...Oh boy!
And Bureaucracy...don't get me started...
(Okay...rant over...exit stage left, dribbling and muttering to itself...)

simply amazing . it boggles the mind how someone can try to change a corporation into a person when it is actually millions of share holders . which they are most likely one of them with their tidy little 401 .
how's that hopey changey thing working out for you ?

I think Clint's empty chair was the perfect reference to the lost child aka president. However I also noticed how lefty was unable to associate the irony of it all. So lets connect the dots. Empty chair = empty suit I hope this will help lefty to understand.
I liked that Mitt and Paul laid out the facts, stated the situation as it stands today, and then asked. Is this the way you want to live? Is this the country you want to leave your children?
Both answers for me are no and hell no. So to allen, these two Mitt and Paul represent a light at the end of a very dark tunnel. I can only say to lefty, move over, follow but get out of the way.I have two brains, one is lost and the other is out looking for it

Or let's look at the other scenario.. nothing changes and the government continues to spend (borrow) money to give to people who haven't / won't contribute and 1 of the largest note holders calls in their markers! What then? We cannot pay, we will never be able to pay! Are we to only hope that since we as a country have "forgiven" monies owed us, that these foreign powers will "forgive" our debt?!?!?
And why is it, that this "world economy" requires "us" to lower our standards and impose suffering on our citizens to raise the standards in foreign lands? Just because we're "nice guys"?
I say tax the H _ ll out of imports to support all the programs! That'll force'em to keep the "stuff" over there or build it here! Screw the world economy! Charity is supposed to begin at home, we should be taking care of our own first, then help those that we can, we cannot do it all nor should we try!
Of course, the above is my opinion.. tia..

The impression I got out the speech was a man who has no idea about the job he wants. Trying to convince me that any one person, president or not,can change that much in only three and haft yrs. A shopping list of bitch sessions that may or may not have something to do with the current president.Seemed to me to be teleprompter stick man like a puppet that he is. Vague statements about exactly the solutions he will "try" to enact.
The current president will do the same thing in his speech. But we seem to want to overlook, our government is by design, has built in check and balances. Congress,if willing, has something to say about what will be or not too. Key question here is are we going to fall for "it all again"??. That the truth of the matter is less than 1% of a president's original ideas or policies are ever actually put in place. Our founding fathers wanted to be very sure that dictatorship wasn't going to be the kind of government we have. Now that being the case and the deadlock we are dealing with as a result, we need to try to figure out what we are going to do about it. Not these feel good horse and pony shows.Major revamping(changing) our government to the current events and economic situations we face today for a more efficient style. Your can be very sure that is coming down the pike at some point.
This one man's opinion.............................

because the liberal morons believe the coca cola song just like obama. they want to wrap the world in a cozy blanket and say " look what we did ". they have destroyed what my father worked hard for by giving it away in their socialist bullshit programs. read the history of the democratic party. started out great but the more freebe programs they come up with the more votes. worked fine last time . let's see if they are dumb enough to swallow that crap again.
this country was built by business and hard working folks , not the damn government. they cant run washington how in the hell are they going to run commerce ?? which obama has 0 experience in. their job is to protect our borders with a military second to none. personally i would like a military base 1 mile deep along the entire southern border. problem solved.
