everybody came from a shack somewhere . so because they choose to stay there i should be willing to support them ? dont think so. i worked 7 days a week til midnight to get my business started and we lived in a tiny 1 bedroom house and my bride waited tables at night while going to school . so that dog wont hunt here. i got no assistance from anyone anywhere. so dont ask me to pony up more taxes so you can feel better about yourself and how your helping the poor. you want to help the poor give them a job. THAT is what business does and it is the only answer. when unemployment is below 5% you get much more revenue than this stupid idea of taxing the top 1% more . but that idea does get you more welfare votes in november.

I worked 33 years in construction for three contractors(all millionaires)never laid off and never collected unemployment. Paid my taxes!! You are not the only one! The tax system favors the rich!! Rommey paid 13%!! Thats fair!! At least make it fair,Congress can but won,t!! Pete

he paid exactly what is required by law. dont like the law take it up with your representative but dont slam a guy because he was successful . i'm not particularly trilled with romney but at least he has a clue . why was bill clinton successful ? because he was smart . he knew the law and he knew business and how to get things done. what we have now is not working and the only changes i've seen are bad.

Did not say he was a crook or did anything wrong!! I asked what is the difference from 1998(he got help with money) till now, he is against bailout money. Just talking things out to get a better understanding!! Like I said before it all depends on what affects you and what affects me,we all all in a different situation. Pete

Someone else looking at things objectively rather then just being dead set against anything the Democratic Party has done or ever will do, and even taking a peak at what the Republicans do and don't talk about!!!!! What a unique approach!!!!
Now, if the dang politicians and voters would only realize that no party is always right, and no party is always wrong!!!!
As for Romney and the bailout money, sure isn't the only thing he has changed positions on!!!! His Etch-A-Sketch comment has left me with grave doubts as to his credibility..... He and Ryan are both pushing for a return to the Bush-era tax cuts----if they didn't work the first time, why will they work this time???? Trickle down economics sure didn't make anything better...
Just really hard to believe that in a country like ours, the two people running for President this year are the best we can come up with?????Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I wouldn't consider Rolling Stone to be a precisely objective source of political information.
Even my lovely daughter (the one who came all the way from Dubai to Texas just to vote for Obama) pronounced the publication to be a bunch of BS.
Except she didn't say "BS" ......
