i expect him to LEAD this nation. which obama has not and can not. he does not have the experience.
those poor poor people you talk about in miss dont want to work. how come they did not take the jobs of rebuilding ? thousands of workers headed there to work while those people headed for houston to set on their butt and draw a check. ask anybody from houston.
once again you jab at the rich white people. it is obvious you know very little about what really goes on in the drug world . are there rich people involved in it ? of course there are. money cant fix stupid . look at the nfl .
then we whine about the wars. just exactly when was it we did not have a conflict going ? dont tell me how the democrats are all about ending wars. kennedy escalated vietnam then johnson raided ss to fund it so he wouldn't have to raise taxes and make the party look bad. and yes i know Eisenhower started it and it was a republican who called it off. parties dont matter.
and yes i agree we need to tell the middle east where to go. there is no hope for that place. they wont work and make the women do it , expect the gov to feed them , condone banditry and anything else illegal. sound familiar ?
but the fact remains obama has failed miserably . he has no leadership qualities and another 4 years wont change that . the usa is the largest corporation on the planet . as a share holder i want a man at the helm who knows how to get it done. if romney cant he's gone in 4 . should be the same for the senate and congress . do your job or your fired.
i'm still waiting to hear why obama deserves another 4 years . not a jab at you i just want to know .

Eisenhower was the setting president when we sent advisers to vietnam . he did so because the treaty between france and vietnam gave too much power to the communist . but it was kennedy who increased the # of advisers and then johnson went batshit crazy .

Shine-it makes sense to me,that we can't expect people to do work that they where never trained to do in the first place from Miss.Skilled trades flooded the market soaking up whatever funds where there and where on a first hired basis. Those people from Miss ninth ward where poor undereducated people before the flood. Some loss the jobs they had. But where ignored for yrs before the flood and afterwards had next to nothing. Heck many didn't have cars so the could run away from the storm.
I'll get back to this thread later.Got to go for now.

I hit the post button once, the computer churned for a few minutes and I got an error message that said the site timed out. Came back later and my post was up twice like a stutter...............so I edited the second one as I've retired from being the manager of the department of redundancy department.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

Well, they sure as heck had a boat load of busses 400 that I think Nagen was his name never bothered to use, government at work again.... But he did have a huge pile of cash in his freezer.... Care to take a wild guess at the party he belonged to?
" Many didn't have cars so the could run away from the storm" of course not they stayed to loot, shoot cops, float a boat down the street full of the working mans belongings, tell me how long ago was that storm........... 5-6 years?
Most poor have cell phones, big screen TV, but cannot somehow pay the electric bill, so quit knocking rich and self reliant folks most do not feel guilty and nor should they for earning their own way in life.
A large percentage are poor because of their choices in life so in reality they choose to be that way. Anyone and I mean ANYONE can make it in this country. There are many opportunities offered some free BTW, the poor do not wish to put the effort into it. Why should they, we are out here pulling the wagon and some feeling their pain, they are laughing their poor asses off at you.I have two brains, one is lost and the other is out looking for it

They got taken away from where they lived and put into trailers. Then forgotten as a solution.Oh,then got evicted out of the trailers. The trailers where never meant to be lived in full-time in the first place so once the people where evicted they where in such poor condition had to be destroyed. I know about that from a huge RV site I am apart of where some where bought and people telling us how bad they where.
Some of those people didn't want to return because of the high risk the area has. Below sea level and storms all the time and no support to resolve that.Only more of the same of being ignored. Shine as you said some did in fact did work on the clean up,but also some took the forced move as a chance to make a better life for themselves else where. A chance to start over.

Below sea level and storms all the time!!!!!!!!!!!!
No support to resolve that??????????????????????????????
OK---I'm going to contribute to global warming so the ice melts, the water gets deeper and warmer and the storms get more energy to flood over the below sea level area with more water--------------
Thanks! It's the most metal forming I've done. I was wishing I had an English wheel and a planishing hammer.
