The best TV show I have ever seen, was a real debate and the media had zero control. Romney came with facts, dignity and did not let his message get skewed. Says a lot when the guy on the defense ask to have the subject changed hope you caught that, priceless.
I'm jazzed!I have two brains, one is lost and the other is out looking for it

Ain't it the truth? Here we are, sitting on more crude than the entire middle east has, and the lawmakers are sittin' on their hands. I'd like to wake up on Wednesday morning after the election to learn that all 435 of the nutballs have been replaced. Romney said last night that he would bring in the pipeline from Canada. Yeahhhhhhhhhh, buddy.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

first year economics teaches you that a broader tax base will bring in more revenue than higher taxes. until the ratio of employed to population gets back to at least 65% or close to it we will continue to have these problems. true unemployment is around 11%+ right now and set to grow next year under obama.
higher taxes is simply redistribution of wealth by the fed. lower taxes puts the money into the economy most often by job creation , which increases revenue. corporations create more taxes through jobs than any tax rate you can impose on them . people seem to forget who does the hiring in this country. i've never been offered a job by a person on welfare .

Let me throw something out for some discussion. My wife, a former fairly high level, though now retired HR manager has been watching the Prez physically and mentally degrade over the past year or so. Her impression is that he may have a substance abuse problem. He has lost a great deal of weight and his utterances have gotten disjointed and stumbling, even with his teleprompter plus his message is pure rhetoric with nothing new. He has a history, last campaign, of being able to captivate full auditoriums, now, he can't begin to fill most of them. I know I couldn't maintain a schedule such as he is keeping without the help of some sort of pharmaceuticals, legal, of course ;=}Dave W

the look he gave someone left of stage early on told me he knew he was in trouble. the hopey changey thing just aint gonna fly this time. bush did it is just not an excuse any more.
if romney was such an bad governor why aren't the dems from mass raising hell ?
by the way. the pipeline will help nothing. we are a net exporter of gas and diesel already . by letting the cost skyrocket they are trying to shove electric down our throats .

The Left (*and Leftist Media) keeps making excuses for Obama's performance in debate.
Altitude?
Unprepared?
The flu?
Jet lag?
Lethargic?
They are missing the OBVIOUS.
What if Obama prepared for three days (as he did) and still was incapable of debating someone who tells the TRUTH?I have two brains, one is lost and the other is out looking for it

Because they got what they wanted! Mass Health! Forced insurance for everyone. What's that? You don't have insurance? Well, you do now and we're going to charge you at a higher rate as a penalty for not joining when you were supposed to...
And yes. Mass Health is a better insurance than what my employer helps provide me if you look at the program that my employer subsidizes Mass Health! The "NON" citizens get it for free also!
Welcome to Massachusetts! Thanks Mitt! I think even if we "win"... we "lose"..

scare the old people, scare the welfare folks, scare the teachers etc etc . truth is romney did none of that in mass .
my bride just retired from teaching and i can tell you the #1 thing wrong is government in the classroom.
i dont particularly like romney but i trust his experience over obama's lack of experience. 4 years and he's learned nothing .

Scare tactics are at the core of Chicago thug politics, but that's just the foundation. The next weeks are gonna be an all out blitz to demoralize the anti-Obama vote, and it will be relentless, dirty, and intense. Expect what's referred to as the October surprise, though this one won't be based on anything close to real such as Bush's DUI was..........it will be totally fabricated, but timed to make it difficult/maybe even impossible, to refute effectively. The mass media has shown it's corrupt nature by shielding their guy in every way possible. Just keep all this in mind as election day approaches, and don't let it get you down, or your friends/acquaintances.......................everyone who cares about keeping us from becoming the mess that is Greece/Spain (and most of Southern Europe before it's done) needs to turn out and do the turn out of the old for the new. And if the new guy doesn't get it done, out he'll go too in another 4 years (or two if you're in a similar situation for a Representative, six for Senate).................it's up to responsible voters. Vote, vote, vote! Let the lefties and their subjects get over confident............enough of them will stay home to give us a hand if we take advantage of it.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

You know this thread is an indication of just how GREAT of a country this is. All can provide their opinion without ANY fear of reprisal!!!
God Bless America! and special thanks to our armed forces around the world!
But if anyone thinks that Romney presented facts to back up his claims...Last edited by Hot Rod Surfer; 10-05-2012 at 09:52 AM.

That has been one of the more humorous displays of late, especially in debate post mortem. All those fine folks who voted in the relatively unknown guy in 2008 based on his bumper sticker slogan of "Hope and Change" supported entirely by platitudes and ultimately undelivered promises are now drilling Romney for "specifics".Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Employment is the lowest it's been in 44 months.
No doubt we need some "CHANGE" and if we don't get it then we're down the tubes for sure.
(wise words of wisdom, Uncle Bob - - thanks!).

unemployment rates show nothing really. as far as the number of people employed it is the worst in 25 years. i'm not buying it just dropped. hiring is still flat and will go lower but you wont see those numbers. it's ok though. texas is still adding jobs and perry is still telling obama to stuff it.

please step in here. you should have more first hand knowledge on romney. not digging at you i really want to know more.
Thanks! It's the most metal forming I've done. I was wishing I had an English wheel and a planishing hammer.
