Some stupidity I encountered today.

Our school district has a vote on some $10MM extra expenditures - unneeded for the most part, but not the reason for posting. Not many folks voting so I asked the woman why I had to give PHOTO proof of who I am. She said that I have to prove that I live in the district. HUHHHHHH???? A school vote?? Damn, I can walk into any of the 34 town political election districts, say I'm a resident, give a name (easily found on the Board of Elections PUBLIC website), sign my name something close to the sample in the voter's signature book and vote. No proof, no ID, no voter ID card, NADA. Yes, the election inspector (I'm a former inspector, resigning after the new PC flash drive card potential cheating system was put in place) can challenge any person, but if it's busy, the inspectors just want to pass him by to the ballot machine. The Supremeless Court has said you can't do much in the way of requesting ID or challenging his citizenship, country, state or town.

Dave, I'm not sure I understand your point. Are you saying that it seems strange to you that you need a photo id to vote on a school budget issue but not when voting on Nov 6th?

Yep!! Why not know the voter in a political election - and he is who he says he is and voting where he is supposed to based on his voter registration

Here's the imposter to the office admitting that he is not qualified to be in the office. When this first video was shot, I don't think he realized that you must be a natural born citizen to be POTUS. It is reported that he has spent in excess of $800,000 trying to cover it up. Why in the name of all that is holy has this man not been impeached by the House?

What if you took a month off from your job just to make presentations to people that you should keep your job? I think most of us would be fired. HOWEVER, there is a real benefit to us regular follk.....if the politicians are out campaigning, they are not passing stupid laws and wasting our money (more than they already have). October is a quiet month in the ranks of the "servants" working as our elected officials. They pretty much igniore their duties so they can beat the bushes for votes and tell lies. FORTUNATELY, it is over soon and the TV will return to normal, the phone calls will all be telemarketers, the intersection signs will be for realtors again, and we will stop having the heated arguments at work. All of us working stiffs will trudge back to the salt mines and work for two more years to pay our taxful duty.

We still floggin' the same dead horses????? That's one of the poorest jobs of dubbing and editing of all the "proof videos" I've laughed my way through!!!!

In this case the whole birther thing really is a moot point and at best a distraction. While the constitution uses the term natural born citizen as a requirement for become president (and Vice-President) it does not define exactly what the term means. Obama is an US citizen based on the fact that his mother was a US citizen.

I think the point that almost everyone who uses that argument misses is the REASON our founding fathers put clause into the constitution. That is very simple…. to protect the nation from foreign influence. ……something that is just as important today as it was when the constitution was drafted.

People seem to gloss over Obama’s early education in Indonesia. This is the time when most kids living in the USA get their first real introduction into US history and tradition. Something I doubt very seriously is a priority in the Indonesian school system.

One could bring up the fact that for all intents and purposes the only “real father” Obama had was a step father who’s own father and eldest brother were killed during the Indonesian National Revolution, when Indonesia won independence from the Dutch, and the Dutch army burned the family's home. That alone makes me wonder what Obama’s early views of the US were and are. The mentors in later years were (Google Frank Marshall Davis and Jeremiah Wright) and super pac campaign contributors also make for interesting reading.

That being said I do not believe Obama is some kind of Manchurian Candidate with a mandate to destroy this country? No I believe in his mind he is pointing the Country in a “better” direction based on view that has been heavily influenced by people and institutions that really don’t have the best interests of US at heart.

I’ve seen a couple of polls over the last couple of months (not that I really put a lot of faith in them, or think they have any effect on the election) that indicate a large number of European countries would like to see Obama re-elected. I can understand from their viewpoint. From THEIR view point what is better a strong or weak US?

Agreed... but to be on the safe side... let's remove the queen of diamonds from all the playing card decks in the white house.

if obama is reelected and his polices come into effect i will be forced into retirement. as a small business i am dead center of his tax increases . there is no way in hell i will pay 39% of my earnings so he can redistribute it to the worthless and non contributing citizens of this country . and before some armchair accountant throws deductions in here remember FIRST you have to pay for a deduction before you can write it off. and as a small business you will reach the top bracket far ahead of an individual earning twice as much . we have the highest corporate tax on the planet . along with the highest labor cost and highest benefits cost . add into that all the different fed gov regulations and agencies to deal with and it is not hard to figure why hershey chocolates moved to china. all these companies did not move solely for cheap labor and they broke no laws in doing so. our government ran them out . and your precious 401k is a large part of the problem. you scream for a better return but demonize the very ones giving it to you.

way back when 1994 it cost the company I worked for over $75.00 an hr to have 1 craft person on the payroll. we had several hundred. That company is no longer in existance.
